10/2022 - 11/2022 JUSTIFIED + ANCIENT 16 Accomplished Contemporary Artists paired with 16 Ancient Artifacts, on display, from 3000 B.C. to 19th Century; redesigned and reimagined with their own representation. Grace has always been fascinated and interested in Ancient Civilizations and antiquities. From the writings on the cave walls to Asian, Egyptian, Persian and Mayan cultures. This large, stretch canvas represents many images and symbols. Blue and red/rust, green/turquoise, black and yellow were colors of importance generally representing: north, south, east, west and sun, moon, stars and maize and waters, all of these were worshiped and revered. Howl’s goal was to respect the ancient - antiquities and put in a modern context with her personal style of creativity. Shown at MARA Art Studio + Gallery in Sarasota in partnership with Halo Arts Project.

2022 & 2021 Howl was selected to participate in the 2022 and 2021 “Halo Arts Project”. Halo Arts Project, LLC founded in 2019, core values are to embrace diversity and support visual artists who enrich our community, applaud innovation and challenges and work for artists who are striving to establish their roles as part of a larger artists community, deriving a sense of purpose, aesthetic, or social. Each artist creates a 10x10 artwork that is sold to the highest bidder on during an event at Mara Studio Gallery, 1421 5th Street Sarasota, FL 34236. Both years Howl’s paintings were sold. The proceeds benefit local artists fellowships.

7/2021-9/2021 Howl was curated with 9 other women artists featuring paintings and pottery collaborations to photography and more to participate in “WOMXN Together for ART” held at Mara Studio Gallery, Sarasota, FL. 

10/2019 – 4/3/20 Howl was curated into the Sarasota Visual Artist Studio group show held at Art Ovation Hotel, 1255 N Palm Avenue Sarasota, FL; Francine Birbragher, PHD, Curator from Miami.

9-10/2019 Howl was curated in Florida’s Finest Exhibit at Art Center Sarasota, FL; Christopher Jones, Curator of Photography and New Media at The Ringling.

4/2019 & 2/2017 Howl was chosen to speak at the AIA 10x10 Event held Art Ovation Hotel. Each of 10 speakers are allowed 10 slides and 5 minutes to present a topic. Howl’s topic: “Appreciating Abstract Art”. She previously presented in February 2017 topic: “Journey into My Mind and Creative Process”.

2/2019 – 3/2019 Howl was curated into a group show “SHOPLIFTABLE” at (Gaze Modern) now PS340 Gallery  Sarasota, FL  Tim Jaeger,  was the Curator. 

1/2019 – 3/2019 Howl was curated into an SVAS group show in Gallery One at Art Center Sarasota. Dustin Juengel, Curator.

11/2018 Le Salon Tout, a Group exhibition: Grace submitted a piece of art to help support SPAACES, a project to help fund art studio spaces in Sarasota. The piece sold with a portion of the proceeds donated to the project.

2018 & 2019 Howl was invited to participate in the Exquisite Corps Games a collaboration of over 60 artists based on the surrealist game by the same name. Each artist from disciplines of painting, photography, music, poetry or sculpture; created one piece of art, either: Head, Torso or Legs; randomly combined within discipline by the Game Master; Anne Marie Cash. 2018 Exhibit opened at the Museum of Fine Art, St. Petersburg, November 2018. In 2019 Howl was invited to participate as a sculptor. Opening 11/14/2019 in St. Petersburg.

4/2017 Sarasota Architectural Foundation: Howl was one of eight (8) artists chosen to paint an authentic Eames Chair that was auctioned off during MOD Weekend to benefit the Sarasota Architectural Foundation. (Now: Architecture Sarasota). 

5/2017 Center for Architecture-Sarasota: Howl was one of 12 artists chosen to paint a construction hard hat and was included to participate in “Construction Helmet Painting”: A Traveling Show. (Now: Architecture Sarasota).
