Abstract art is my state of mind. It is a visual experience and conversation that can be compromised with words. I prefer to let viewers open their minds, hearts and emotions to what they see and feel in my paintings.
Rosemary District Association Sarasota, FL: Howl designed an outdoor wall mural 16’ x 40’ on a building wall where Howl had over 67 participants from the Rosemary neighborhood painting with her in this one day. The event was created as a community building experience and to inspire the community to become an art & design district.
Institute for Psycho-geographic Adventure (IPA from NYC): Experiment 42.000 at the Ringling Museum. Over the course of 2 days I had ‘participants’ help me paint an 11’ x 6’ wall mural at the Museum. Participants were interviewed prior to and after participating in a variety of ‘encounters’ based on needs or wants. It was a thrilling and exciting experience. Created as part of the Museum’s ‘New Stages’ series of contemporary performances.
